Unfortunately one thing I have not been able to accomplish “not aging”. Still feel 24. One goal I set for my self before my 18th birthday was to retire by the time I am 40. I have almost a year to accomplish this, but in reality, I love my job, and would not quit even IF I had a few million dollars. At least not right away.
Well, the goal has not faded into the distance… stay tuned!

LIFE
Everyday I am another day older.
I find another grey hair… somewhere.
Its getting late and the streets grow colder,
and unfortunately god is taking everyone who cared.
As I find myself more alone in this world…
because God taketh away what he gives.
A buddy lost his job and divorced his girl.
And now… I am not sure where he lives.
Both of my grandparents now lay to rest,
and so does at least one good friend.
Remember to love your friends and family… they are the best!
because in this life, all good things come to an end.
Lucky for me… My response is this…
I have girls and I have boys.
My house is always filled with noise.
I thank the lord for my wonderful life.
I thank the lord for my wonderful wife.
My little one demands…. Why won’t you buy it?
Maybe if I do I can have peace and quiet.
So I buy it thinking “I’m smart these days!”
And then I turn around and he’s crying anyways.
My little girl really loves Mickey Mouse.
I have so much Mickey stuff, its all over the house.
My oldest girl is away at Sonoma State
My second oldest, still in high school is about to graduate.
And then theres the one in the middle, who is always playing COD.
always screaming… “Dad! Dad! Come look at me!”
And if it wasn’t for all of them…
I would just be depressed and read the first poem again!
